Well, I've been away for a while.

I have, however, put the time to good use.  Sort of...  In the time I've taken to create and complete my first piece for Winter (see recent submission), I've gone through a computer and worked on this new style.

Hrm...I suppose such bold statements require explanation.  First off, my old AMD64 began overheating and burning.  And I do mean burning.  So, after this unfortunate incident, I needed to search out something to replace it.  Now I'm working on my beautiful (and sexy) laptop with the 17" widescreen monitor.

Art style.  I've created this latest piece in a slightly different way than previous pieces.  Whereas before this, I spent quite a bit of time creating very tight pencils which I coloured.  This time, however, I sketched the figure quickly in pencil, and spent the majority of time creating the piece of art AND design in Photoshop.  It definitely requires something of a leap in technique.

Now, I'm working on a story which may eventually be released as a self-published book.  But, that will be quite a ways off yet.

Enough rambling.  As my girlfriend reminded me as soon as I completed this piece, it's time to get to work on the next one!
